Thank you for your interest in registering for a field trip to Gorman Heritage Farm!

Please read the following instructions before registering for a field trip!

Payment:

We require a $100 deposit to hold each date. This is our minimum program fee. You have the option to pay this at the time of check-out with a credit card, or receive an invoice to pay by mail with a check. To pay your deposit with a check later, select the "pay later" option by checking the mailbox icon. The remaining balance is due 30 days after the field trip date. You may either pay online at the time of registration, pay the day of the trip with cash, card, or check, or receive an invoice to pay by mail with a check after the trip. If we invoice after the trip, we only charge for the number of students and chaperones that actually attend.

Tips for successful registration:

  • Be sure to select the program for which you are registering in the box on the left before selecting your date and times.
  • After selecting your program, date, and times, click on checkout to proceed. This is where you will fill out the remaining information for your trip.
  • We can accommodate up to 72 students at a time. For more than 72 students, you must sign up for more than one program.
  • We break into groups of 10-12 students each. Each group will be led by one of our farm educators. You must provide at least one teacher or chaperone per group. There is no limit to how many chaperones can attend.
  • We host field trips Tuesday-Friday. We can begin as early as 9:00am and end as late as 3:00pm.
  • Field trips may be between 2-4 hours long. You have the option to stay for a picnic lunch.

Selecting your program times:

Half-Day Field Trips - Programs that are 2 hours or less are considered half-day field trips, and they take place in either the morning or the afternoon. You have the option to stay after the program ends or arrive early to have lunch on site. When selecting your program times, do not include lunch. There will be an option to indicate this later on the form.

Half-day field trip programs include: Farm Senses, Food Sources, or a Custom 2-hour Program.

Full-Day Field Trips - Programs that are 3-4 hours are considered full-day field trips, and lunch takes place during the program. Full-day field trips require reserving the full day (9:00am-3:00pm). Selecting your actual program times will be done later on the form.

Full-day field trip programs include: 4-hour Food Sources, Structure & Function, Local Ohio History, Soil Health, or a Custom 4-hour program.
