Join us on May 11 from 9am - 3pm for May Farm Fest at Gorman Heritage Farm! Celebrate the season of new growth on the farm with baby animal interactions, touch-a-tractor, farm scavenger hunt, education stations, face painting, craft vendors, food trucks, music and fun activities for all ages. 

All activities are included in the price of your ticket! Food trucks and craft vendors will also be onsite for optional purchases.

  • Baby Animal Interactions: We have invited select community partners to bring in additional friendly baby farm animals for guests to interact with and pet. Gorman Heritage Farm educational animals will also be onsite - there will be plenty of farm babies to enjoy!
  • Touch-A-Tractor: Guests of all ages are encouraged to get up close and personal with our farm vehicles and Farmer Amanda will be onsite to answer any questions!
  • Carriage Rides: Our impressive Belgian Mule Team, Tom & John, will be pulling carriage rides from 12:30pm - 2:15pm. Boarding for this activity in our historic farmyard.
  • Free Face Painting
  • Education Stations:  Our farm educators will have special stations throughout the farm to teach adults and children about various aspects of farm food, sustainable agriculture, and the natural world.  Boone County Arboretum will also be onsite to share information about our native trees and plants.  Also, DinoBuddies will be offering free reptile interactions and education from 11:30 - 1:30 in the Interpretive Center!
  • Quilt Show -  In the Interpretive Center, enjoy showcased historical, handmade quilts.  
  • Live Music - Enjoy music under our Marquee tent throughout the day!  Demi Mays, a treasured local children's music artist,  will perform from 10am - 11am.  Them Lasses, a talented folk duo,  will perform family-friendly music from 12:00pm-1:30pm.

VIP Parking:  We have a limited number of VIP Parking tickets available for purchase for guaranteed parking in the Dan Beard Boy Scout Council parking lot (right next to the festival entrance).  Note:  VIP Parking tickets DO NOT include admission.

Should I buy tickets in advance? 
Yes. Ticket lines will be very limited, so to avoid waiting in line buy ahead of time and get right into the fun! Please note, no cash will be accepted at the gate.

Do I need to buy tickets if I am a member?
Yes, tickets are required to attend this event. Please note: There is no special member pricing for this fundraising event. Thank you for your support of our non-profit, educational working farm!

Do Village of Evendale residents need to buy tickets?
Yes, tickets are required to attend this event. Please note: There is no special resident pricing for this fundraising event. Thank you for your support of our non-profit, educational working farm!

Can I visit the Farm other days of the week?
Yes, Gorman Heritage Farm is open to the public during our regular operating hours of M-F 9am - 5pm and Saturdays from 9-3pm. We are closing the Farm to the public on May 11 to allow ticketholders to enjoy this special event. Please note: animal interactions and other activities are not available during normal operations.

Can I bring my pet?
Only ADA Service Dogs trained to do work or perform a task for a person with a disability are allowed. Thank you for understanding the safety of attendees and farm babies.

Is the Farm accessible for strollers and wheelchairs?
Yes! Our paved Every Person's Trail is easily navigated by both strollers and wheelchairs and leads you directly to our historic farmyard. There are additional gravel, grassy, dirt and hill paths to traverse. If it's muddy, wheelchairs and strollers can have a hard time in some areas of the farm.

Where can I park for May Farm Fest?
Free parking is available at the Soil and Stars Education Center at 10020 Reading Rd. and across the street at Formica 10155 Reading Rd. A complimentary shuttle will be continuously running between the front entrance of the farm and the Formica parking lot. Handicap Accessible Parking and VIP parking will be in the Dan Beard Boy Scout Council lot at 10078 Reading Rd. (placards required). 

Can I get a refund on the cost of my ticket?
We do not offer refunds on ticket costs. Please know the cost of your ticket goes to fund our mission to cultivate a healthy community through farm-based experiences and education about food, agriculture and the natural world.

Is there an ATM on site?
No. Food and Craft vendors will offer both cash and credit options. 

Is the event rain or shine?
Yes, we run rain or shine! Please dress for the weather.
